BE a Christian

James 2:24

“So you see we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.”

As Christians we think that our faith will get us through just about anything, and it will. But I feel this scripture is trying to tell us that it is our actions that show our faith. It is what we do, that matters.

If God were to speak to your heart and ask you to do something, would you do it? Or would you sit and wait for Him to make it happen? Or would you sit and wait until He gave you the complete picture, and gave you all the steps in the beginning and showed you the outcome? Having faith doesn’t just mean sit and wait, having faith means get up and do what God has asked you do in faith that He will guide your every step, and you need to do this without knowing the outcome!

We as Christians need to start acting like Christians, rather than saying we are a Christian. Being a Christian is more than accepting Christ into your life, it is more than where you are going to spend eternity. It is about having a life that pleases God, and living out His purpose and Will for your life. It is about obedience, trust, love, and sharing. Jesus paid to high of a price for us to just waste our life away. We as Christians need to step up to the plate and take our rightful place that Jesus made possible by giving His life!
